Monroe Place is an 80-unit affordable housing community for residents over 55 years old, GrowthSpotter reports. The complex is intended for those making less than 60 percent of Seminole County’s average median income. Construction is expected to start sometime next year, with NDC Construction Company hoping to subcontract the endeavor. Ideally, residents can move in the second quarter of 2023.
Units range from one-bedroom to two-bedroom layout plans. Per the Construction Journal, there are 64 one-bedroom apartments and 16 two-bedroom apartments. These homes come with new appliances, hardwood floors, and sizeable kitchens. Monroe Place itself will rise four stories above grade and comprise over 770,000 square feet of new construction. Plans are also underway for a 124-space parking lot.
GrowthSpotter reports that ground floor amenities include community/event space, while outdoor amenities include a bocce ball court, shaded sit-down space, and a gazebo. The building itself comes outfitted with elevators and on-site management staff.
Archway Partners owns the project. Brett Green, the organization’s president and founder, told GrowthSpotter that despite being an affordable housing complex, Monroe Place will have the same feel as any market-rate housing complex.
Monroe Place is located at 2306 West 1st Street, Sanford, FL, 32771, in Seminole County. It’s near the Sanford Sunrail Station.
